I wrote my first story when I was 6. I don't remember all the details, but it was about a boy named Timmy and his bicycle. My 1st grade teacher was surprised that I had written it all by myself, and was very impressed, since I had just mastered reading and writing at the beginning of the school year.

In 4th grade, I was always so happy when we were given writing assignments and I would oftentimes get certificates for doing such a good job. My teacher told my mom how I loved to write!

When I was 12, there was a contest to write a speech for our 6th grade graduation. I beat my two best friends and got a chance to go on stage and read my speech at the ceremony. Even the class bully complimented me on my speech afterwards.

I guess writing is in my blood!
